In a heartbreaking family announcement, Alexis’s loved ones shared that she had passed away after holding on to hope for her recovery. Although the circumstances surrounding the accident and the full details of her injuries have not been publicly confirmed, the announcement reflects the difficult days her family endured.
Alexis was a beloved mother to her 2½-year-old daughter, Paisley, and a cherished bonus mother to Hazel. Her family also remembered her connection to her late older brother, Tyler, whom they believe she has now been reunited with.
Despite their grief, Alexis’s family highlighted her final act of generosity: organ donation. An Honor Walk was tentatively scheduled for Sunday, November 8, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, around 1 p.m., to recognize her gift of life to others.
Funeral arrangements had not been announced at the time of the family’s statement. The family also indicated that a GoFundMe would be shared to help with funeral expenses and the difficult days ahead.
Alexis’s passing leaves her daughter, family and friends facing an immeasurable loss. Through organ donation, however, her legacy will continue in the lives she may help save. Her loved ones will forever carry her memory, love and light in their hearts.
