Branch, 29, was identified by family members as the victim of an overnight stabbing that occurred early Friday morning. According to police, officers responded at approximately 3:39 a.m. to an apartment complex near South Virginia Street and Maverick Street, where they found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was transported to a local hospital but later died.
Branch built a following in Amarillo’s music community under the stage name Two3. His music connected him with listeners, while his passing has prompted tributes from friends, relatives, fellow artists, and supporters.
His cousin, Lil Prince, paid tribute to him, describing Branch as “a legend” and expressing how difficult it was to find words following his death. Other supporters shared photographs, heartfelt messages, and tributes remembering him as #LLTwo3.
The Amarillo Police Department confirmed that one person is in custody. However, the suspect’s identity, possible charges, and circumstances surrounding the stabbing have not been publicly disclosed. The Homicide Unit continues to investigate.
